The plant uses high quality CO2 to separate out extractions, to pharmaceutical standard, from varied products using two separators. Was producing about 1000 kgs per 24 hours at 50 per cent of raw product. The adjustable flow rates result in a loss of around 14kgs of CO2 per hour.

Is used for the extraction of bio-active components, the fractionation of flavours and fragrances, removal of spice oils for flavours, production of essential oils, fish oil concentration. Has been used on Saw Palmetto extract, Blackcurrant oil, Kava Kava, Rosehip, Borage, Totara tree, Ginger and Sandalwood oils, Hops , Mussel extracts for arthritis, Lycopene, Bula wood, carrot seeds, parsley, and Artemisia leaves. Could be used to extract scents from flowers or food colours from Marigolds. Can be used on Wasabi, Agar, Amaranth, Algae, Yeasts from hops, Beeswax, Mustard husks, Triglcerides and Phosopholipids from Canola etc.

Can cope with a pressure of up to 315 bar with variable temperature and manual controls. The equipment generally uses dry material milled to a fine powder. Three columns rotate with two extracted from at any time with the third being refilled. Two hold 150 litres each and the third holds 75 litres.

The owner has stated: It can be converted, at only a piping cost, to do liquids which are tricky but possible. Efficiency depends on the value of the extraction which decides on the rotation period and the decision always needs to be made time versus value. If you go to total efficiency then 95% of the extractable can be extracted normally within 2.5 hours extraction time.

It is currently in storage and it is not in a good position to be inspected so a warranty of going order needs to apply. It certainly can be put back in the photographic condition. It is in fine 100% working condition and photos of it are available. Is germicide and bacteria free. It will get HCCAP qualification on its reconstruction in the right environment. Estimated cost to replace equipment is around $3,000,000.
