These used roller mills were imported from the UK. They have 400mm inlet and have stainless steel rollers 250mm diameter x 1000mm long. The Model XK roller mill (successor to the 1978 Model K100) featured simple design, lubrication-free transmission, simple maintenance, reliable technology and low noise emission. The most important constructional aspect is the patented 'Twin Power' differential drive. A glass-fibre reinforced belt with neoprene layers on both sides, into which teeth are stamped, is used for power transmission to provide constant speed and speed differential by eliminating belt slip. Belt speed is 5.3 m/s at an upper roll speed of 500 rev/min. As well as the new drive system the Model XK had improved roll exchangeability, roll feeding and control. They previously were part of a complete 1200 tonne flour mill in China before the factory was dismantled.
