These are NEW batch milk pasteurisers, which are constructed of 100% stainless steel (AISI 304). They are fully certified. Typically come in four volume sizes - 100 litres, 300 litres, 500 litres and 1000 litres but other volumes are also available including 50, 200, 400, 650 and 800 litres. The pasteurisers of 500 litres plus require a steam heater or diesel burner.

The tank is triple walled with jacket environmentally friendly, polyurethane foam (45mm walls and 90mm underneath) inside the outer liner. They come with a stainless steel electronic PLC control panel with a 4.3 inch touch colour screen and a user friendly interface which gives visual & sound alerts for every step completion or malfunction. The information is recorded for report presentation. Data saving option avoids continuous reprogramming.

These also feature:
• Low speed agitation motor (30 rpm), installed on a special elevated base on the lid, for easy cleaning and service
• Possible to be combined with a processing line for cheese production
• Stainless steel fully opening lid

As a guide the 100 litre is electrically heated by single phase power supply (typically 9kW elements). The 300 litre is electrically heated by typically by 12kW or 24kW three phase elements (9kW single phase at a push) or via a LPG burner. The 500 litre is heated by 48kW three phase elements or via a LPG gas burner. The general rule for pasteurisers is a minimum of 30% of the units total volume so a 500 litre model could do a minimum batch size of around 150 litres.

These units are manufactured by a large company in Greece with a New Zealand agent for after sales support. Milkplan give a one year warranty on electrics and five year warranty on the rest of the equipment.
