The seller has stated:- I have a soils testing machine for sale. It is used for geotechnical testing taking samples down to two metres. Was manufactured in Australia by Christie Engineering. The machine is 8 years old. The machine is in very good order only used now and again in areas where metal was mixed with clay and it was hard to hand auger. I do soils testing for building consents (geotechnical testing down to 2 metres). You drive a scalar penetrometer and take a soils sample as you go down to prove ground capacity is greater than 300Kpa. This machine drives and retrieves the sample in a tube. It is powered by a Honda GSX 270 ~ manual start. Like new. Pump is Galtech Pompa 25PG8D-10U. Italian made. Hydraulic tank (Iso 68 Oil) main ram 1.6 metres with hammer head. Small Ram Victor 400mm. This is for horizontal location. Hammer Head Atlas Copco Type LH 220 flow 20 - 30 L/min. Nom pressure 100bar. Max pressure 160 bar. Made in Bulgaria. All tubes extractors etc included. Too numerous to itemise at this stage.

Has a split tube arrangement and backflow prevention mechanism for wet samples (never used). Could be used for any purpose to take a sample down to two metres. Does not need to be used for geotech. The trailer is manufactured by Briford (1200 long, 1000 wide rated 750kg) and was mounted on the trailer here in NZ by myself. The total all up cost was just over $30,000. This machine could easily be taken off the trailer and mounted on a flat deck ute or attached with a quick hitch to a digger (this is how they use them in Aussie). Christie Engineering’s web site has this configuration. I have all the scalar gear worth around $700. The lazer level that I use with it for site levels would be $1200. There is a business opportunity that goes with this free of charge. Can operate anywhere in NZ and this could be done anywhere in NZ. I am happy to show anyone what is involved. Minimum qualifications NZCE REA. Diploma in Civil Engineering or a BE.
