Date syrup might be considered one of the most innovative and attractive by-products in date processing. In especially the Middle East and North Africa, countries make use of the product as a substitute for honey or other similar sweeteners as well as in confectionary and drinks. Date processing requires a specific technology in order to fulfil certain quality specifications. This manufacturers approach of transforming dates into syrup include SORTING equipment where the incoming fresh or dried dates are inspected and sorted on sorting belt line/s.

SOAKING GROUP where the soaking tanks are equipped with stirrer and outfeed screw and the sugar contained in the dates is transferred to hot water.

DESTONING where, depending on the required capacity, the pre-soaked dates are sent either of our destoning machines (the SUPERCREAMER or JUMBOCREAMER), guaranteeing a clean separation of stones from pulp and syrup.

REFINING is via a double-stage refiner SUPERBICREAMER.

PASTEURISATION whereby before the product is filtered and pasteurised in our plate heat exchanger, the THERMOFLASH, which is manufactured in several sizes and can be mounted completely on a skid.

FILTRATION where the date syrup is clarified by use of a vacuum rotating filters with pre-coat. CONCENTRATION via a 3 effect plate evaporator FLASHTERM, suitable to concentrate date syrup from 18 to 72 Brix.

And finally FILLING is performed via semi automatic filling into glass jars or bulk filling in to 200 litre drums.

Available are lines to process from 100 to 2000 kilograms of dates per hour (per line).
