De-stoners are designed to work in grain handling operations. The vibrations of the deck, and the air suction from above, causes the lighter grains to bounce downwards to the twin outlets. The heavier stones, and pieces of metal, remain closer to the deck and are moved upward to the collection hopper. The seller has stated that it was in good working condition when the flourmill which it was used in, was closed down.
